Current events

This weekend, several newspapers reported some updates directly related to the projects we've been involved in:
  • The Washington Posts reports about inmates currently doing "Katrina time." Judge Arthur Hunter has pledged to start releasing inmates this summer if the legislature does not respond to the indigent defense crisis soon.

  • Second Wind, the project Christine and Anna worked on over spring break, is featured in an article in the Times-Picayune about the struggles facing small business owners in New Orleans.
Most important, don't forget about our event this Tuesday, April 18. We'll be sharing what we learned, showing you some pictures from our different projects, and letting you know where what we're planning for the future. You can be involved! (Thanks to the BLS Office of Communications for designing the awesome event poster!)
